Uniforms
Each singer will have two uniforms, formal and informal. Uniforms are a requirement for all singers. They give a sense of identity to each group and can be a source of pride. Take good care of these items! If there is damage at the end of the year other than normal wear and tear, it is the student’s responsibility to pay any all fees associated with the repair or replacement of the item.
Students who do not have the uniform by the day before the first concert will be removed from the concert and will be unable to perform. Please ask in advance, if there is any doubt or question about the uniform. If a student shows up to the concert in an inappropriate uniform, that child will be removed from the performance.
No jewelry is to be worn with the uniform, male or female.
A Cappella Ladies
This ensemble will have the option of either buying or renting a formal dress for this school year. We will wear the dress at all performances, excluding our Spring Pops Concert. New dresses are available to purchase for $80.00 (make any alterations you wish). Students may also rent a dress for a dry cleaning/rental fee of $20.00 (no permanent alterations, please). This is the required uniform for members of the A Cappella Ladies Choir.
Concert Choir Ladies:
All elements of the uniform must be solid black with no prints or any other embellishments. All tops must have at least quarter-length sleeves.
Concert Choir Men:
Colla Voce
For each concert, they will wear the choir t-shirt with khaki pants. This is the required uniform for members of the Colla Voce Choir.
CASUAL UNIFORMS
The casual uniform will be worn for more casual concerts and events. For all students, the casual uniform will be the same. It is the student’s responsibility to care for and maintain the casual uniform throughout the year. The casual uniform consists of:
Choir T-shirts:
The choir t-shirts will be ordered within the first three weeks of school. The cost of the t-shirts will be $15.00. This money is due at the beginning of the year. T-shirts will not be issued to individual students until they have been paid for, and any student who does not have their T-shirt when they need it will not be allowed to participate in the activity. Students who lose or ruin their T-shirt may purchase another, and must notify the director immediately so that a replacement T-shirt may be ordered for that student.

- Black pantyhose
- Black closed toe shoes with low heels.

- A white, button down long-sleeve shirt with a collar
- A solid color tie (may be any color, solid with no print or pattern)
- Black dress shoes (no tennis shoes)

It is against our policy to prohibit participation in choir based on financial hardship. In a situation where any fees or costs associated with choir create a financial difficulty (including those associated with the acquisition of a choir uniform) a parent must contact the director PRIOR TO THE DATE THAT ANY FEES OR SUPPLIES ARE DUE so that special arrangements can be made, possibly including a payment plan, extended due date, and/or student scholarships.

- Nice jeans (jean skirts that are knee length or longer are fine for the girls, but no Capri or Clamdigger pants, please)
- The choir T-shirt (see below)
- Closed toe shoes (sneakers are fine, sandals with a strap around the ankle, etc.)
- Because of the more casual nature of the uniform, jewelry will be acceptable to wear with the uniform, as long as it is in keeping with the school dress code.
